One Successful Concert

It was such a magical moment as we sung the last note in the evening~

Our choir, Alata Harmonia Chorus of Canada, had our annual concert last night at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Scarborough.

We were able to put all the details into the music and the some of the chords sounded so touching (best to our ability). I knew we sang well as Ms. Sit (our conductor) smiled when she put down her arms at the end of the songs.

I was most touched by the composition of Richard Si - Life of 李清照, a Chinese female poet. The composer, Richard Si, is a young gentleman who sings in our bass section. I am amazed at his talent. A gentleman as young as he can write such intricate and beautiful music. I really appreciate this opportunity to sing this piece of music. One of my friends who went even told me that she teared during the 4th movement, because it was so touching!

Another thing I was deeply touched was the programme book. The committee asked choir members to write some entries regarding their feelings towards the choir and the response has been overwhelming. We are such a loving and cooperative bunch, well, of course, we have many members who are dedicated in sacrificing their personal time in serving this choir too!

I am truly blessed to be part of this choir, and truly blessed to be able to learn from Ms. Sit!
