This morning, our friend Charles (you can find his website in my "wedding vendors" links in the left), helped us take some engagement photos.
We have never been to Casa Loma, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to pay a visit. We woke up bright and early (7am on a holiday Monday) and arrived at Casa Loma at 10am. We started taking photos in the garden. It's tulip season now so the garden is filled with many colourful tulips. Charles was great at directing us. Yusuf and I were uneasy at first, not knowing where to put our hands or which way our heads should look, Charles helped make everything easy and "loosened us up".
After a while, we started to get a hang of it. Seriously, Casa Loma is a beautiful place for photos. We were never running out of places to snap some gorgeous shots. After 1 or 2 memory cards, we moved inside for more photos. The inside the castle presented another mood. It was very solemn (very similar to U of T) and filled with sophistication.
The part I will remember my whole life will have to be the photos taken in the library. The library was a beautiful room filled with books on the wall - very historic and classy. So I thought it would be neat if we can pose like we were ballroom dancing, but Charles suggested that we danced a couple of steps to get the motion, so we actually started dancing! We waltzed across the room like no one was watching (just like the famous quotation). We were nuts!
We finished taking photos at around 1pm. It was a really fun and memorable morning, especially with the dancing...
Can't wait to share the pictures with you!
