I haven't watched a scary movie in at least 5 years...but I don't know why I agreed to watch this one! I guess I've always liked Stephen King's novels...even if it means I have to sleep with the lights on!I give the movie a 3.5-4 out of 5. That's a pretty good mark in my books. Don't get me wrong, I was peaking through my coat most of the time, but I still think all the gruesomeness was necessary and not over done.

The part I enjoyed the most was seeing the psychological progression of a group of people in a life and death situation. While some people actively face the situation, there are many others who prefer to rely on someone else to think for them - escaping the reality. Although the ending was shocking (I'll just leave it at that), and I still don't understand why it had to happen like this, there was a point Stephen King was trying to make when all you see on the trucks were kids.
The plot was very clever and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie despite the scary parts - the only thing was I had to sleep with the lights on last night..hehe...
