Bar Italia

After vocal lesson last night, I met up with 2 Mac girlfriends, Adrian and Eleanor for dinner at Bar Italia (Bathurst and College). There were lots of free parking available on the nearby streets and the place was pretty easy to find. The ambience was pretty good, friendly, warm, just the right amount of decor.

We all ended up ordering pasta dishes ($13-18 price range) - orechiette, gnocci and risotto. The pasta took a bit of time, and yes, we did let our waitress know how we thought, and she said that the party upstairs is causing this delay. We were a little disappointed by that. The food finally came and it was worth the wait. The gnocci was seriously the best that I have had! The orechiette sauce was very delicious but the risotto I found was a little too bland, I even had to ask for salt (and I eat very bland...trust me)!!! The portions were quite big, and even though we all shared, we couldn't finish our dishes.

We collectively decided to skip on the appetizers so we can order desserts (good choice!). We ordered the panna cotta and tiramisu! They were both awesome!

Besides the food, we also had a great heart to heart chat. We sat in a booth so it gave us a lot of privacy and we chatted until it was like 11:15pm!!! It was great...we all need one of those once in a while!
