First, we had our Alata annual concert: Songs of Love (合歡). That was such a ride! We can literally say we pulled it off. We all had our doubts about our ability, but Ms. Sit helped us all the way through with her patience and passion for music. What a relief this is over! We got some press from it too.

Then, my mom left for her HK trip the next day for a month. I was actually looking forward to having the house all to myself to get some good rest after the concert, we practised 4-5 times a week for most of October! As well, I really enjoy cooking, so now I have the perfect opportunity to try my own recipes out (without negative feedback...haha...)!
Where's Yusuf you ask? He actually has been working out of town Mondays to Fridays. He would fly out Monday mornings and fly back home Friday night! Although I wish he would be here all the time, I do think that this experience has made us treasure our weekends together more.
On November 8th, Yusuf and I, along with a few friends, went to see the play "Tuesdays with Morrie". Before going to watch the play, I decided to read the book to get the full flavour of what the story is about. It was an inspiring read. I have always enjoyed these types of books. Stories about views of life. This book has allowed me to think about death in ways I haven't thought about before. Morrie had a very positive outlook and a different view on many things. If you are into these types of reads, I highly recommend this book for you! Although I felt the novel was better than the play, I don't regret reading it before watching the play at all.
On the 12th, a bunch of girls met up for dinner at Grace restaurant. It was a fun time for chit-chat, catching up and just good laughs. I ordered a sirloin steak, but I didn't find it extraodinary...it was a little too cold for my liking. But, they served it on a wooden cutting board which I thought was pretty neat presentation :)
November 14th, met up with Eleanor for our famous breakfast at Golden Phoenix. We are planning a concert at MonSheong in December! This time, we will focus our programme on more Chinese influenced repertoire, to accustom to the audience's need. We are even planning to perform some pop songs too!
For the remaining November, I basically cooked, cleaned, worked, sang, and watched TVB series. In this month, I've watched: 少年四大明捕(with my favourite林峰!!!),與敵同行(鄭嘉穎was a good actor in this one), started珠光寶氣and畢打自己人. All are pretty good! haha....I'm an addict....
Now, mom is coming back tomorrow night...
