Slumdog Millionaire

Just caught the tailend of the 'Slumdog' craze. Decided to go watch a movie on Saturday night and Slumdog looked interesting. Didn't know what the whole story was about, but heard lots of good reviews from colleagues.

After watching the movie, I give it a 4.5 stars out of 5! The story was interesting, the script well written, the directing brought out all the details, and even down to the music/sound effects was superb and made the movie that much more exciting!

No doubt, the story bothered me, but it made me think for days. Was Jamal lucky or unlucky to have this experience in his life? On another angle, the movie also promoted the idea of 'fate' or 'destiny', and it was Jamal's fate/destiny for all these series of events to happen. That somehow ties into Hinduism as well. It's quite an interesting movie....I highly recommend it!
