Invitations

We started on designing the wording for our wedding invitations this week. Our good friend Lang, who is an awesome designer, will help us design our printing material (invitations, thank you card, programme, etc). We really appreciate his time and effort! He already gave us some awesome ideas!

On Tuesday night, before going to play badminton with friends, we sat down at a Tim Hortons and rummaged through our collection of 50+ wedding invitations (We've been too waaaaay too many weddings) and we picked 5 of our favourite ones and ...yep, you guessed it! Started to copy! I (June) was impressed by our lightening speed at picking those 5 invitations! When I came back from buying a soup and bagel combo, Yusuf already picked out the 5 invitations that were my favourites too!

We then started to analyze the wording and in 15 minutes, we typed up our first draft already. Then, the next day, I searched online for more "resources" and found whole bunch of websites:

I think these 2 are good sources to start from. For Chinese wording, it's actually quite standard. If you need some help, just let me know!

Now that we have our wedding invitation wording done, now we just need to ask our moms to approve and we can give it to our amazing designer!
