On December 28, our whole family went out on a field trip together! From the eldest (my Grandma) to the youngest (my teenage second cousin), it was a great chance to catch up with one another and also enjoy what Hong Kong has to offer.
We rented a 25 people van, and even borrowed a wheelchair for grandma in case she got tired from walking.
First, we visited the Wetland Park in 天水圍 (濕地公園). It is a 1.5 hour trail around a marshland. We took many family photos and finished the tour around noon. Then we headed for lunch.
After lunch, we went to Ngong Ping (昂坪) to take the cable cars (360)! For those of you who don’t know, 360 is the new cable car that connects Ngong Ping with the big Buhhda in Lantau Island. The ride takes 20 minutes each way, and when we got there, we went up 200+ stairs to take a closer look at the Buhhda.
For dinner, we went to a really nice restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. It was really a great way to spend time with family since it’s rare that everyone can get together from all over the world.
