I've been so excited about cooking Indian cuisine tonight since last week! A good colleague of mine have been teaching me what sauces and spices to buy in order to make butter chicken. I finally got some time to go to the supermarket and got what I needed. I planned to make butter chicken (yes, the typical dish) and tikka beef.
The butter chicken sauce that I bought comes in a jar. You can get butter sauce paste as well. The brand that I used was Raj Mahal and I got it from Food Basics. I then marinated the beef kabobs with the tikka powder and added some garlic onto it as well. Then I put it on skewers and used my George Foreman grill to grill it to perfection.
Instead of biryani rice, I bought roti because it was ready made. You can buy them at Chinese supermarkets, I got it at the Bamburgh Food Mart. All you have to do it heat it up in a pan (no oil needed) in medium heat.
We really enjoyed the meal! I realize how much I love cooking, especially cooking non-routine things...I'm going to cook tacos next week!
Side Note: Sorry, I forgot to take pictures :(
