So You Think You Can Dance?

After ordering the tickets back in August, today is finally here! Me and 2 other colleagues went to see the "So You Think You Can Dance" tour! The event was held at the ACC and the showed started at 8pm.

Unfortunately, I was getting sick this week. I think it's from too much practise for our concert this Saturday. I actually didn't go to work and I was really comtemplating whether to skip the show since I had to drive all the way downtown. I finally decided to go since I've looked forward to this for so long and I really miss seeing my colleagues! (They were coop students and went back to school in Sept already)

I got there around 7:30pm and we lined up to get in. We were so excited when we got there that we started screaming (just a tad...). Finally at 8:10pm, the TV monitors started playing funny clips from the past season to get us all excited and anxious. All the dancers then came on the stage and danced a group number. It was so awesome! They are all so talented and energetic!

The show was filled with excitement and exuberance! The various dancers selected famous dances from the season, and also incorporated new routines to make sure we were not bored. The highlight dances for me were the Hummingbird contemparay and the Skeleton hiphop. Although it's probably my 10th time seeing the Hummingbird routine, it still fascinates me how a human body can mimick an insect so life-like! In case you missed it, here it is:

The Skeleton routine was pretty awesome too. I missed it during the season, so this was the first time I saw it. Another funny thing was every time the male dancers came out, the girls in the audience went crazy!

I'm so amazed that all the dancers are so young yet so talented! The show ended at 10:40pm with a short intermission. There was NEVER a dull moment!
